On Thanksgiving Day 2018, Hoover police killed E.J. Bradford inside the Galleria. Within hours the mall was reopened for the biggest shopping day of the year, setting off a series of events highlighting the systemic racial inequality that still exists within the community from the police, to the school system, and among elected officials.
E.J.'s death set off mass protests across the community and brought a diverse group of Hoover residents together to fight for racial justice in every corner of the city. We are better than our history and we demand a future where every resident can live and thrive in the community of their choice.
Join the fight for racial justice in Hoover by signing up NOW! Let us know how you want to get involved and an organizer will be in touch soon!
